I have been researching the body in the context of movement, choreography, and self-understanding for two decades. My desire for understanding is insatiable, causing me to spend countless hours in the dance studio, weekends in various types of workshops, and years seeking advanced trainings in Alexander Technique and other forms. I suppose I couldn't help myself! I find movement utterly fascinating as it is always relational and complex: It is connected to the immediate environment, expressive of the present moment as well as past and future, and embodies multiplicity and dimensionality. This blog explores philosophical, scientific, and cultural idea of the body while sharing personal anecdotes about my own journey in embodiment and the AlexanderTechnique. Exploring in this way offers new choices of being, perceiving, connecting, and becoming.
